Netley Nibbles
Netley Nibbles is the new community café in Netley village and my daughter and I paid a visit this morning for a spot of breakfast. It has a brightly colourful interior and the staff gave us a warm welcome, which cheered us up on a rather wet, grey winter morning.
My daughter had a hot chocolate stacked generously with marshmallows and I had a lovely cappuccino, a quality coffee that had no need for sugar. This was followed by a cheese and ham toastie for her and a big bowl of porridge and jam with a side order of toast for me. These were really tasty and my daughter was particularly pleased with hers. Then, as a special treat, we finished off with a slice of a delightful lemon and blueberry cake, which had a perfect balance of sweetness and citrus tang.
It had been a really enjoyable, relaxed time and I thoroughly recommend a visit. I’m hoping to return soon to try the fry up.
