Hamble Common and the Hamble Conservation Volunteers
I recently had a delightful walk around the woods that form part of Hamble Common. This is a beautiful area of heathland, some of which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. I was fortunate to be visiting the area on a day of perfect late autumn sunshine and am looking forward to returning to see more.
You can find out more about the area here: https://www.eastleigh.gov.uk/sport-health-parks-and-open-spaces/open-spaces/hamble-common
The Hamble Conservation Volunteers look after the Common and other habitats as well. More information about them, including how to get involved, can be found here: http://www.hambleconservationvolunteers.org.uk/community/hamble-conservation-volunteers-13792/home/
